Economic Development Manager
The candidate will support the law firm’s economic development incentives working group, including the group’s work for clients of Vista Site Selection, by performing a variety of tasks under their supervision, including communicating with clients, and by devising and implementing strategies to enable them to work more effectively and efficiently for clients. Prepare drafts of agreements, local legislation and notices for review by the firm attorneys. Prepare various filings, including annual reports, DTE Forms 24, CRA exemption applications, and maintain spreadsheet or database to ensure filings are made in timely manner. Support Vista clients through GIS work, data analytics work, and other work through collaboration with Vista professionals. Support the firm and Vista business development and practice management efforts through build-out and maintenance of key document index, authoring of articles, and assistance with presentations. Develop best practices guides for use with different client categories, with focus on political subdivision clients. Prepare incentives compliance summaries and agreement abstracts for the firm and Vista clients. Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience is required. Should have 3-5 years of experience in similar field.
