The Pricing team drives the vision, strategy, customer experience, and technical delivery of the pricing and offers systems and services throughout Best Buy’s e-commerce and enterprise application portfolio.

What will you do as a Sr. Engineering Manager - Pricing:

Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle – architecture, design, development and production support (during business hours, no on-call support).

Lead the design and development of key pricing related initiatives

Lead in a manager capacity groups of skilled developers/engineers

Work directly with technical leads, engineers, product managers and business stakeholders

Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to build systems using engineering design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability

Minimum Qualifications:

5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience

1 years leading development teams (technical leadership, work direction, or coaching and mentoring)

Preferred Qualifications:

4 years with developing web application using Java/Spring

1 years with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra OR 1 years with Kafka

Knowledge of and experience with open source software (Apache, etc.) as well as networks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components

Practitioner and proponent of Agile development practices

Test-driven development, refactoring, automated unit test, integration test, functional test, and continuous integration/deployment. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
