The Marketing Communications Manager is a member of the Communications team and responsible for marketing communications counsel and support for the Marketing leader within a designated operating segment, and serve as liaison between Marketing and the Media (digital media and creative service) team. The core competency for this role is the discipline of marketing communications strategy and program implementation. The role requires the ability to produce and refine written content, and especially to provide strategic leadership for marketing communications initiatives as appropriate for the markets served by the operating segment to which the Senior Manager is dedicated. The Senior Manager also will lead development and implementation of internal communications on behalf the operating segment leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Be familiar with the designated business segment’s markets, products, and services

Effectively advise and collaborate with Media team members to articulate strategic drivers and creative requirements for media and creative deliverables

Propose, manage, and evaluate initiatives to strengthen product brands and sales

Develop and manage schedules and budgets for programs and campaigns

Support development of product identities and positioning and enforce global brand standards within the operating unit

Lead the management of customer events

Serve as principle liaison between Communications and the segment’s business, marketing, and sales leaders regarding marketing communications

Manage close collaboration with the Media team

Serve on the Communications Leadership Team

Establish, manage, and analyze campaign performance metrics and return on company investment

Research, recommend, and develop new approaches to meeting Marcom needs

Effectively manage reporting to leadership

Required Skills

Excellent writing skills

Demonstrated experience with and a strong working knowledge of marketing communications strategy, program implementation, and evaluation

Strong working knowledge of the creative process and production

Ability to successfully manage multiple, varied projects simultaneously

Strong familiarity with digital media

Facility with Microsoft Office products

Required Experience

BA/BS in English, liberal arts, Communications, Marketing, or related field

10 years experience in marketing communications in a corporate or agency setting

Demonstrated experience leading successful marketing communications programs

Demonstrated experience in developing innovative, measurable, results-oriented communications approaches
