Tax Senior - Real Estate Services

The candidate will collaborate with and assist in the professional development of other tax professionals serving the valued clients. Participate in client proposals and other new business development opportunities. Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations and S-corporations for a variety of clients in the real estate, private equity and emerging business industries. Execute on assigned client engagements including the budget, review of tax returns completed by other tax staff, calculations of estimated tax payments and tax extension filings. Supervise and review the work performed by other tax staff. Keep firm Tax Managers and Partners informed on engagement progress and any important issues discovered that need resolution. Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients' federal, state and local tax planning projects. Conduct tax research and preparation using tools such CCH Intelliconnect, CCH Axcess and other tax software programs. Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS, state and local authorities and represent clients at any potential tax audits. Advise clients on critical issues that impact their financial portfolio, and provide appropriate solutions. Develop and sustain good working relationships with clients. Participate in client proposal and new business development opportunities. Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study is required. An advance tax degree (MST, J.D., LL.M.) is preferred. Should have 3+ years of relevant tax experience working in a CPA firm, a professional services firm or a tax consulting practice. Relevant work experience with real estate, REITs, private equity or emerging businesses is required. Working knowledge of CCH Axcess and other tax software programs is required. CPA or parts of the CPA exam is required.
