The candidate will provide leadership and tax technical expertise for consulting and compliance engagements involving complex partnership, S corporation and C corporations. Attracting and retaining appropriate tax clientele in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market. Have or be able to quickly build an active network of business contacts and referral sources in the local market. Leadership of client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment with the goal of exceeding client expectations. Developing managers and staff and serve as a role model, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff members. Collaboration with the assurance practice on all financial statement tax reporting issues. Remaining aware of new developments and the firm’s standards and policies. Integrate and leverage firmwide thought leadership efforts in developing the market for tax services. Certified Public Accountant or JD required. 15+ years of experience in public accounting with a Big 4 firm, a national CPA firm, or a large regional accounting firm. Strong tax technical experience a plus, including complex partnership, S corporation and C corporation planning and compliance. Bi-lingual is a plus. Experience in the review of tax returns for public and private businesses, including Technology, Private Equity, Manufacturing & Distribution, Retail, Life Sciences or other industries prevalent in the local market. Leadership and team building experience. Strategic and organizational planning experience. Sales and marketing experience, with proven business development skills. Ability to work within budgetary and time constraint.
