Description

The Director, Process Improvement analyzes, and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. The Director, Process Improvement requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

Responsibilities

The Director, Process Improvement researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced engagement, experience, increased productivity and reduced cost. Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functional roadmap development and work streams across the organization, utilizing Humana Values: Rethink Routine, Thrive Together and Pioneer Simplicity.

Required Qualifications

BA/BS Degree

8 or more years of technical experience with Medicaid Operations process improvement

5 or more years of management experience

Healthplan Operations

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in healthcare, business, or related field

Experience working with 1 or more formal process improvement methodologies

Call Center or Claims Operations experience
