The Barnes Firm is one of the nation’s leading personal injury firms with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking a full-time experienced personal injury paralegal to join our team.

This position will assist the attorney(s) in all aspects of preparation for personal injury litigation from case inception through closing. This position is responsible for the coordination of all correspondence, research, scheduling, and client communications necessary for each case.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to attorney(s) through all phases of cases from intake to trial;
• Assist attorney(s) with daily tasks such as drafting documents, filing documents, organizing files, client communications, scheduling, etc.
• Assist attorney(s) to settle claims, draft pleadings and litigation activities

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of significant and substantive litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a personal injury law firm setting
• Working knowledge and competency with case management software: knowledge of Smart Advocate a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service minded.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage a heavy work load.
• Extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Excellent computer skills.
• High degree of professionalism.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and meet deadline.
