Description:
The Tornado Alley Shoppe manager is responsible for all aspects of the store operations, which includes textbook acquisition oversight, small package shipping and receiving, and leading the Conference Services Program including overseeing the campus scheduling software.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 3 years’ experience in retail or equivalent. o Education: A bachelor’s degree is required. Extensive experience may substitute for education requirement.
Responsibilities:
General everyday responsibilities, including but not limited to: Retail Store operations:
• Customer assistance and sales.
• Train and direct student workers.
• Create merchandise displays, restock, and maintain clothing displays and current “popular” inventory.
• Receive, verify, and inspect all product shipments for quantity and quality.
• Price 100% of all products and stock of shelves.
• Identify inventory needs, procurement, receiving, pricing, stocking shelves and oversight of the storage room.
• Order specific merchandise as required for campus departments.
• Manage receiving and sending of small packages.
• Convocation - Management of student regalia website for ordering.
• Textbook Adoption, “buy-back” oversight and order desk copies for faculty.
• Provide managerial reports as required.
• Maintain online website. o Oversee mailroom operations. Oversee the Conference and Guests Services activities:
• Administer the FS Direct calendar system (Campus scheduling).
• Scheduling, orchestrating conference guests throughout the year including all invoicing, collections and customer service coordination.
• Evaluate and continue to improve on all services provided to each conference.
