Position Summary

The Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position works under limited supervision, independently performing ultrasonographic procedures. Procedures performed require independent judgement, initiative, and ingenuity. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians. Internal contacts include nursing service staff.

Minimum Requirements

Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications

Satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound technology training

Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
