Position Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting, and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary, while also adhering to food safety practices and company policies

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems

• Document and calculate results accurately

• Take corrective action when necessary

• Alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product and report results to management; any additional assignment requested

• All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of 1-year experience in the food industry required or other QA type experience

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork

• Must possess identification and problem-solving skills

• Must possess Math and organizational skills

• Ability to read and interpret product specifications

• Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.

• Ability to work well under stress

• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day

• Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging 45-75 degrees

• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling

• Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently

• Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends

• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
