Temporary Billing Assistant

The candidate will be learning the billing cycle for a law firm. The individual establishes, fosters, and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with attorneys and business services personnel to ensure compliance with both attorney and client billing specifications; supports all billing processes from engagement to bill posting with tact and diplomacy. Understanding outside counsel guidelines and client fee arrangements, and ensure preparation of bills in accordance to the same; escalate potential issues in complying with same. Assisting billing staff in processing edits and ensuring time entries comply with firm, attorney and client standards. Collaborating with Client onboarding manager to update appropriate fields of client information, according to client billing guidelines. Taking accountability for successful submission and troubleshooting issues. Responding to inquiries relating to billing and payment information; with assistance and guidance prepares ad hoc reports upon request. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline is preferred.
