Legal Procurement Advisor
Duties: Provide procurement legal contract support for assigned clients with focus on obtaining business objectives while adequately addressing associated risks. Perform legal research involving procurement issues. Provide prompt legal counsel primarily to associate procurement strategists. Participate in the contract negotiation process. Identify and perform critical analysis of significant legal issues involving the procurement of goods and/or services. Utilize high-quality oral and written communication skills. Work with other legal professionals, including those in the Key Law Group and outside counsel. Identify risk issues and integrate the appropriate language into the agreement to mitigate such risk. Collaborate with compliance and risk groups to identify, assess, and mitigate risk. Elevate critical risk issues to line of business senior management as appropriate. Keep informed of latest legal and regulatory trends. Develop and maintain strong collaborative and collegial relationships with clients, procurement and law group colleagues. Develop and maintain collaborative and collegial relationships with outside attorneys and industry representatives. Treat co-workers, clients, and external contacts with professionalism and respect. Participate in project teams and support other lines of business as requested.
