Job Description

Position Title: Director of Investor Relations

Location:Southfield, MI

Reports to:Vice President of Investor Relations

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics, or other relevant area. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.

Position Focus: Serve as a primary contact for the investment community with responsibility for executing the Investor Relations function.

Core Responsibilities:

Execute IR operating plan

Act as primary spokesperson for all communication with the investment community regarding the Company's business model, operating results, business strategies, and special developments

Advise on and support all aspects of investor marketing, including development of investor messaging strategy

Manage all aspects of quarterly earnings process, including preparation of press releases, earnings call scripts and presentations, Q&A prep documents, financial analyses, and other associated materials

Manage board presentation preparation process

Assist in review of annual and quarterly SEC filings

Compare internal forecasts with analyst models and track analyst estimate changes

Review and summarize analyst reports and competitive financial analysis and aggregate information from various financial data sources

Manage IR investor targeting efforts

Manage the Company's participation in investor and analyst events such as conferences, meetings, and non-deal roadshows

Manage the planning of the Company's Investor Day and Annual Shareholder Meeting

Compile disclosures and data for use by senior management in meetings and discussions with investors and analysts

Provide senior management with feedback from, and recommendations related to, discussions with the investment community

Provide senior management with commentary on events occurring in the industry, the capital markets, and the broader macroeconomic environment

Collaborate across departments to ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to analysts, investors, media, and all internal and external stakeholders

Cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and with the investing community

Work closely with senior finance staff on financial planning, forecasting and reporting

Required Skills

Skills and Experiences:

7 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, or corporate finance

Demonstrated understanding of Regulation Fair Disclosure (Reg FD) and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations

Understanding of GAAP accounting practices

Understanding of valuation analyses and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts

Advanced analytical skills; ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis

Advanced communications skills (written and oral) and relationship-building skills (Being a strong writer is a must)

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to represent the company at investor meetings and conferences as required
