Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Crime and Legal Studies

The candidate should have strengths/teaching experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Criminology, Policing, Criminal Law, and/or Sentencing. This is a full-time, tenure eligible position beginning August 2020. A doctoral degree in criminology or criminal justice, or an earned doctorate in a related social science discipline is preferred. All but dissertation (ABD) and candidates with only a law degree (JD, LLM, SJD) will be considered.

Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level and a philosophy of education consonant with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission are required. This position includes teaching, advising, college service responsibilities and ongoing scholarship.
