Job Details:

The Communications & Engagement Analyst is responsible for collaborating with a team to support efforts around IT for IT communications and engagement initiatives. In this role the Analyst operates as an internal communications consultant to team members on key projects, including but not limited to, internal communications, event planning, story writing, survey creation, data analysis and presentation creation. The Communications & Engagement Analyst will facilitate and organize objectives to support team communications, events, and engagement activities. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated proficiency in project, event, and communication planning, some exposure to organizational change management, graphic design, desktop publishing, and content development.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as communications, journalism, graphic design, management, business or other related area.

Equivalent work experience may be acceptable.

Project management or other IT certifications would also be a plus, but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 plus years’ experience with communications on projects and events.

Experience writing and executing against communication strategies and plans.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Adobe and Microsoft Office suite products including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project and Word.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills including active listening facilitation and presentation skills.

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to adjust to different styles.

Ability to influence others and move toward common vision without formal authority.

Ability to accept and adjust direction based on constructive feedback.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Able to align communication initiatives with the corporate and IT vision and mission to see the big picture

Able to digest and leverage complex business organizational and technology issues and challenges

Flexible and adaptable

Comfortable working in ambiguous situations

Organized with a natural inclination for translating strategy into tactics and deliverables

Problem solver experienced in root cause analysis

Team player with ability to work collaboratively with and through others

Familiar with project management approaches tools and project lifecycle phases, such as Agile and Waterfall

Able to develop and manage resource and activity estimates and plans for Communications and Engagement projects

Familiar with experience in individual influencer and behavioral issues is a plus.

SCOPE DATA:

Responsible for supporting IT for IT projects successfully through communication strategies and plans with new solutions implemented by the company.

This includes but is not limited to using tools and principles to prepare and provide input on communications strategy planning and execution and communications channel analysis.

A key to success for this role is developing and maintain relationships with team members, leadership and executives.

Communications & Engagement Analysts work with team leaders sharing information, identifying and raising issues and concerns and mentoring team members.

The ideal candidate would be comfortable managing a variety of projects and working under tight deadlines.
