Regional Trade Operations Manager
Responsibilities: Drive efficiencies in operations and spearhead the development of the North American trade compliance program with assistance from the MPK Trade Operations team. Assist with a number of global trade compliance programs and initiatives including supporting global new product introduction efforts, country expansion strategies and development of cross-functional relationships. Act as first point-of-contact for trade operations covering the North American region. Lead North American compliance reviews, audits and manage the post-entry review program. Review and approve documentation for international shipments – including, but not limited to POA’s, export license applications, end user statements and other documentation needed to facilitate shipments. Maintain required import and export documentation in accordance with relevant laws and corporate policy. Management of day-to-day import/export activities in the North American region including daily interaction with the company’s customs brokers, freight forwarders and third-party logistics in the EMEA region. Lead the ECCN and HTS classification efforts for products and technologies in the region. In partnership with Trade Legal, develop and deliver trade compliance trainings for and to new hires, project teams, and management. Manage, assess, and enhance North American trade data in **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and global trade management (“GTM”) systems. Identify the need, assist with the design, and track the success of Regional Trade Operations automation initiatives. File classification rulings and file post correction adjustments with trade authorities as needed. Monitor and interpret regulatory changes that affect regional trade operations and communicate changes to affected parties. Serve as the primary trade operations point of contact with regional finance, tax, treasury and regional infrastructure/logistics teams to gather/assess local requirements and develop a regional trade program to meet those needs. Monitor trade compliance inquiries by governmental enforcement agencies for resolution and root cause analysis. Develop corrective action assessments for any compliance incidents.
