Director Of Risk Management
The candidate will be responsible for: Oversees the entire lifecycle of all workers’ compensation, automobile liability, and general liability claims for the organization; ensures a timely resolution of individual matters. Obtains all insurance for the company and reviews all external vendor agreements to ensure they are meeting the company’s standards and expectations. Handles the purchasing of bonds for newly constructed or renovated stores to comply with local and federal law. Prioritizes, guides, and reviews the work for a team of Risk Management Specialists. Serves as the main point of contact for high impact issues as well as escalated employee and guest conflicts. Acts as the organization’s knowledge expert and internal consultant for all risk management matters relating to workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile liability, bonds, and insurance. Identifies potential risks and provides solutions to decrease or eliminate areas of risk for the enterprise. Researches and maintains knowledge of developments in relevant codes, statues, and regulations with a particular emphasis on risk management and safety. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Risk Management or related field required; Paralegal degree or legal background is a plus. Should have 5+ years’ experience in risk management and/or insurance practices. Should preferably have 2+ years’ experience managing a corporate risk management department. Proficient in Microsoft Office required.
