Duties:

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other essential documents in IP litigation matters.
• Manage discovery processes and resolve any related disputes.
• Handle claim construction and provide expertise in legal arguments.
• Assist with trial preparation, as well as appellate matters.
• Oversee and manage cases from pre-trial to post-trial, ensuring timely and effective progression.
• Provide strategic legal counsel in patent litigation, including working with medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and chemical industries.
• Actively engage with clients and build strong professional relationships.

Requirements:

• Admission to the State Bar is a must.
• Minimum of 4 years, preferably 5-8 years, of experience in patent litigation, specifically in the life sciences sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation, including discovery, case management, and motion practice.
• Experience with both Federal district court and IPR (Inter Partes Review) proceedings.
• A solid foundation in the Hatch-Waxman Act, medical device litigation, and chemical patent issues is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field such as biology, chemistry, or chemical engineering.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar Membership.
