This position is ideal for a motivated attorney with 1–3 years of experience handling personal injury matters, who is ready to take ownership of cases from inception through trial. Duties:
Negotiate pre-litigation and litigation settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel
Manage personal injury cases from initial filing through resolution or trial
Draft and propound written discovery and respond to discovery requests
Take and defend depositions, including expert and party witnesses
Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement demands
Appear in court for hearings, settlement conferences, and trials
Prepare and argue motions in limine and other pre-trial motions
Communicate with clients regularly regarding case status and strategy
Coordinate trial preparation and serve as first or second chair at trial
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience handling personal injury litigation
Knowledge of California civil litigation and court procedures
Ability to manage a full caseload independently under supervision
Reliable transportation and availability for occasional weekend or on-call work
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license in good standing with the California State Bar
Skills:
Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
Strong communication and client service abilities
Bilingual skills (Spanish or Armenian) preferred but not required
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure
Proficient in litigation case management software and Microsoft Office tools
