VP, Product Officer-Employment Practices Liability
Duties: Collaborating with Technical Director to ensure profitable growth strategies are executable and that the strategies and metrics support profitable. Assisting with and supporting leadership in establishing underwriting strategy. Working with market basket heads to determine and prepare business cases and product value propositions. Ensuring the delivery of competitive policy forms for Employment Practices Liability and coverage extensions that enable renewal retention, new business growth and profitability. Partnering with other areas of the organization, i.e. claims in order to have a deep understanding of the claim history within these products and the industry to understand the loss drivers by coverage to be able to address it with language enhancements while working with underwriting on their due diligence process. Monitoring frequency, severity and pricing, working with the Product Officers, underwriting and actuary to understand trends, impact and portfolio performance. Ensuring underwriting guidelines are currently while working with underwriting leadership to ensure underwriting guidelines reflect underwriting strategy and appetite, maintaining consistency across MSG and Financial Lines where appropriate. Technical Director and MSG Head hold authority for guideline updates. Working with compliance to maintain an efficient inventory within the endorsement library. Monitoring manuscript usage to ensure endorsements are filed as appropriate. Establishing and overseeing an efficient manuscript endorsement process with the market baskets, ensuring endorsement drafting has contract clarity, consistency across departments where applicable and timely delivery of solutions. Leveraging Data & Analytics, IT, Technical UW Product Management/Emerging Solutions to identify data or tools that can be incorporated into the underwriting process to improve ease of use, efficiency and UW decision maker. Identifying service provider opportunities (pre or post claim) that are value add and marketing benefit. Evaluating and communicating key underwriting/marketplace issues to Technical Director and senior management staff. Establishing a cadence with our key trading partners to discuss our products, innovation and profitability within certain areas of coverage.
