Litigation and/or Contracts Attorney (Contract)

The candidate manages outside counsel engaged in dispute resolution and litigation. Gathers evidence in cases to formulate resolution strategy or evaluate initiation of legal action. Conducts research, interviews clients, and witnesses and handles other details for comprehensive case management. Represents the Company, as necessary, in mediations, arbitrations or litigation proceedings. Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for operating units. Provide legal advice concerning business operations. Prepares contracts settles labor disputes, and administers other legal matters. Directly supervises two or more employees in the Legal Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Should have Juris Doctorate degree (J. D.). Active Bar license is required.
