The candidate should have experience in advising clients on the regulation of U.S. trade, with a focus on export controls including classification, licensing, and compliance regimes, and economic sanctions. In addition to advising clients on the application of trade regulations including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations to their cross-border business operations, the ideal candidate would also assist clients in developing compliance programs and advising with respect to trade issues in pre-and post-acquisition due diligence, advising on voluntary disclosures related to trade compliance and applying and obtaining licenses, permission, and authorizations for the conduct of international trade.
