Assistant Professor, Legal Studies
The candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to broad liberal arts and interdisciplinary education, excellent teaching skills, willingness to teach and support diverse students. Will be expected to participate in classroom teaching, scholarly research and service, including academic advisement of students. Should have J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. License to practice law (any state acceptable) is essential. Must have 3+ years of experience practicing law. Experience working as a paralegal or supervising paralegals in a team environment is needed. Teaching experience in a paralegal, legal studies, or law school setting is essential. Should preferably have experience teaching and/or developing online courses. Experience developing curriculum for undergraduate, paralegal, or law students are needed. Legal practice experience in a litigation setting is an asset. License to practice law (any state acceptable) is essential.
