The candidate supports the Washington, D.C. Federal Government Relations office and provides policy and advocacy expertise on legislative and regulatory matters impacting Medicaid, CHIP, and health IT (with particular emphasis on Medicaid). Responsibilities include supporting development of Medicaid, CHIP and health IT policy agenda; closely monitoring and analyzing Federal legislative and regulatory initiatives and health policy developments, and effectively communicating related policy positions to positively influence key stakeholders toward interests and positions. This position works in strong collaboration with senior Medicaid and health IT leaders to understand interests and priorities in these areas; helping to develop policy and legislative strategies based on this information. This position also may support compliance efforts and activities.
