Associate Contracts Manager

The candidate will be reviewing, drafting and amending agreements (including environmental, safety, trade, logistics, and product compliance agreements and other commercial contracts, negotiating with vendors, and using technology to streamline contracting adn other internal processes. Must be able to work independently and have acellent communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners. Must possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. Should also be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology and contracting, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations. A sense of humor and desire to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment are a must for any successful candidate. This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative, tight-knit team that is driving exciting global initiatives as part of a business that is making history. Some travel will be required. Should have 2+ years of contracts management, transactional paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department. Should have Bachelor's degree. Should have strong wrtten and oral communication skills. A mix of law firm and in-house experience is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory compliance functions (in particular environmental, safety, or products compliance related contracts) is preferred. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple and varying mission-critical projects at once, and to follow through and meet deadlines is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a partner to business stakeholders.
