Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Company's franchising, utility and compliance responsibilities. Reviews, coordinates and interprets legal documents, such as franchises and any other franchise-related agreements and contracts entered into, for the purpose of compliance and conformity to Company standards and requirements. Supports implementation of activities designed to build relationships with elected officials and state agencies. Manages specific, structured projects. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Assists in the development of policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization and responds to same.

Ensures that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.

Drafts (as needed), revises, interprets and communicates the meaning of the terms and conditions of utility agreements, franchises, franchise-related agreements, grant program rules and agreements, and other contracts for implementation by the field to ensure compliance with company commitments.

Organizes, archives, and summarizes agreements and related documents related to completed and ongoing utility negation and market expansion efforts.

Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes

Creates, manages, and distributes FCC, franchise-required LFA notifications, and state grant program-required monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Acts as Company liaison to utilities, state offices, and LFAs for information and escalated related issues.

Manages special projects related to market expansion and team advocacy efforts.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
