Profile

The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining availability, security, and release/change management of database servers. Document and analyze business user needs to develop reporting solutions. Develop, maintain and enhance reporting for the credit union working with IT management and end users directly. Performance tune, troubleshoot, system monitor and administer database servers.
Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT operation with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices as well as SQL server database administration. A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Microsoft SQL server 2005/2008.
Must have experience administering SQL server. Setting up and managing SQL server maintenance jobs.
Experience writing reports and fulfilling reporting requests for business users. Experience with multiple MS SQL server configurations.
Must have experience with replication, mirroring, archiving, query tuning and database design.
Must have an understanding of DNS and TCP/IP networking, storage area networks (SANS), MS clustering, virtualized environments, DCP, DTS or SSIS, reporting/SSRS, and data warehousing.
Knowledge of reporting, query tools and practices.
Knowledge of SSIS packages.
Migration knowledge on SQL server platform. Experience with multiple database platforms is strongly preferred.
Ability to think creatively.
Excellent communication skills.
Enjoys working in a team environment.
