Due to a strong pipeline of work and increasing demand, we are seeking a solicitor 2-4pqe with experience in derivatives or financial markets to join our Banking and Finance team. This is an opportunity that will see you work with leading Partners on market leading matters.
Our Team
Our team is known for its breadth and depth of expertise and is recognised as Australia's leading team of derivatives and financial market and financial systems lawyers, acting as counsel to many Australian and international financial institutions, market infrastructure providers, state entities, funds, corporates and industry bodies (including ISDA and ICMA) in relation to derivatives and financial market transactions, collateral, netting and regulation.
Scott Farrell
and Max Allan
are our key Banking Partners seeking to recruit into their team. Scott is a senior partner with more than 20 years’ experience in finance, financial markets and financial systems law, advising market participants, exchanges, clearing and payment systems, regulators and governments in Australia and Asia. Max is a leading partner in the Australian derivatives market and the key contact for the Australian opinions for various industry bodies (including ISDA and ICMA). He works with banks, corporates, funds, market participants, exchanges, clearing and payment systems, regulators and governments, and specialises in structured and complex derivatives, financial markets transactions, financial market infrastructure and systems, and advising on legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Scott and Max together have given many years of service to the public and private sector in advising on, and guiding, regulatory and legal change in the financial market and system landscape.
