Description

The Vendor Management Professional 2 works as liaison between vendors and the Pharmacy Engineering team. The Vendor Management Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Vendor Management Professional 2 communicates with vendors regarding day-to-day matters in support of the Humana Pharmacy Engineering team. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. This role will be primarily Work at Home, but may require travelling onsite from time to time.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with issuing POs and reconciling invoices

Experience creating and maintaining strong relationships with vendors

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree

Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute

Prior experience in a healthcare or insurance setting
