Job Title: Securities Attorney - Investment Funds Group (Professional Track)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly skilled Securities Attorney with 6+ years of experience in managing structured securities offerings to join their Investment Funds Group. This position is designed for those not pursuing a partnership, offering the opportunity to engage with a range of public and private entities including real estate companies, REITs, institutional investors, and financial organizations. The successful candidate will handle complex real estate finance transactions and play a key role in acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and commercial real estate development.

Duties:

• Manage structured securities offerings with a focus on real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions
• Represent clients in complex transactions involving real estate investments and developments
• Provide legal expertise to public and private real estate companies, REITs, institutional investors, and financial investors
• Conduct in-depth analysis and write detailed legal documents and reports
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes
• Offer practical, business-oriented legal solutions and maintain excellent client relationships
• Manage multiple competing deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Maintain exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of legal work

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings
• Strong analytical and writing abilities
• Proven experience with commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions
• Strong business judgment and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in Washington, DC
