The candidate will be preparing probate papers; opening and maintaining estate and trust accounts; inventory, value, and collect assets; maintaining checking accounts: pay bills, keep track of account balances, maintain a checkbook; preparing balance sheet/cash requirements memorandum; distribution of assets to beneficiaries; communicating (verbally and in writing) with clients, attorneys, executors, trustees, banks, etc. regarding estate and trust matters; filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing; maintaining checking account: pay bills, keep track of account balances, maintain a checkbook; administer distributions to beneficiaries, trustee fees, and other expenses; heavy client, attorney, and third party contact require excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Should have BA or BS degree. Should have been organized and detail-oriented. Time management skills are important given a large number of estates and trusts under administration. Should have computer skills, including knowledge of programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and databases (Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis). Should have knowledge of forms used in the probate process.
