Duties: Facilitate the provision of highly technical and specialized legal services that includes long and short-term planning, development, and presentation of research and conclusions to ensure that actions and positions taken legally supportable, and in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Evaluate complex, significant matters that span across all areas of the asset management business, considering both a legal risk and business impact perspective. Manage risk and liability insurance. Maintain relationships of trust and respect with the Attorney General’s Office and key stakeholders. Act as the Ethics Advisor, identifying conflicts and ensuring appropriate training and mitigation that comply with state laws. Develop and provide education sessions to the Board and staff on targeted relevant legal issues. Report to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with other units within the Operations Division and throughout the office.
