The valuation and Risk lead role consists of economic valuation and qualitative and quantitative risk modelling.

The valuation and Risk Lead independently leads Atlantic shore project team in the areas of economic modelling and by doing so supports in guiding the JV through the wider Valuation and Risk landscape.

After making a successful PPA bid the valuation and Risk lead will be responsible to work with the team to further improve the business case in order to take Financial close / FID on any won projects.

What’s the role?

The successful candidate will support the Atlantic Shores Commercial Director in implementing commercial strategies (e.g. Commercial PPA’s) according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth of the Atlantic Shores JV. The candidate is also keen to investigate and deliver further OREC-compliant power trading optimisations.

The successful candidate is able to interface independently with relevant external (e.g. for price input) and parent company resources (e.g. Economist and Strategy department) to ensure the recently developed Atlantic Shores economic model is further improved and remains well understood.

The valuation and risk Lead will also be able to propose and implement risk management processes within the Project and prepare the Risk Management Plan. Act as the expert for any question regarding these processes, templates, related methodologies and quantitative risk tools used for the Project;

The successful candidate will develop and continuously update the Project risk register by facilitating risks workshops with Project Leads and other stakeholders, including: - Identify, categorize, analyze, qualify and quantify all inherent risks that can affect the Project; - Perform a prioritization of risks based on qualitative and/or quantitative assessment; - Implement and follow up the mitigation plans; - Secure risk ownership.

In addition, she/he/they will perform qualitative and quantitative assessment (Monte Carlo simulations) of Project risks and highlight hotspots for Management, and collaborate with the Scheduler and Project Services manager to incorporate risks in schedule and cost estimates (allocated contingencies and unallocated provisions).

Requirements:

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within wind and/or offshore industry leading high-profile projects, negotiations and valuation work.

Minimum 3 years of experience with risk identification, risk mitigation and of risk evaluation theories.

Demonstrates ability to independent model with discounted cashflow tools (in Excel) – incorporating factors from finance, economics and deal structuring theories

Must have experience in quantitative risk modelling and inclusion on these results into economic analyses.

Shows outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication, presentation skills
