Guardianship Program and Benefit Coordinator
Duties: Provides programmatic and administrative support for program staff, which may include preparing correspondence, client address changes, copying, faxing, and overall organization and upkeep of Department. Travel to client homes and apartments to assist with coordination of services that are needed, including the removal/disposal of personal items in conjunction with the client’s family. Coordinates and manages the delivery of official documents to designated parties within established deadlines such as protective placement change of address, reports of conditions and other court related documents. Coordinates the gathering, analysis and maintenance of financial and benefit documentation for clients. Performs financial transactions on behalf of clients, which include redirecting and/or coordinating direct deposits, stopping automatic debits/withdrawals and refunding direct deposits at the termination of guardianship. Processes and tracks all Social Security, Veterans Administration, Medicare and Medicaid, pension, retirement and other benefit enrollments, applications and renewals for clients per established deadlines. Create and maintain accurate and complete client records in hard-copy, client databases, and other formats. Create and coordinate all client funeral trusts and documentation including updating spreadsheets and communicating necessary information to Guardianship program staff. Coordinate and monitor all client storage units, costs and liquidation of belongings when appropriate. Initiate all WisPACT trust intake application and disbursements of WisPACT funds for clients. Assists with annual and final accountings for clients. Act as a backup to Representative Payee. Assists with support to staff as directed.
