The Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Delaware State University, Dover, Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning Fall semester 2018.

Preferred Qualifications: An earned Doctorate in Criminology or Criminal Justice, teaching experience and evidence of, or promise for scholarly productivity is required. The department will consider non-Doctorate degrees, such as JD, with documented experience developing and teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses,

The successful candidate for this position will be required to teach a broad range of undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Courts and CJ and Criminal Law. Experience developing and teaching online courses and/or applied criminal justice courses, such as Criminal Evidence, Cyber Crime, or Crime Scene Investigation, is highly preferred. In addition to teaching, successful candidates will be expected to develop new courses in their specialties to enhance and strengthen the current curricula; actively engage in grant seeking and in individual and/or collaborative research and publications; advise students, and serve on Department and University committees. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and accomplishments. Interested candidates must apply online for full consideration.
