Assistant General Counsel, Partnership Contracts
The candidate reviews and negotiates recommended revisions on all new and existing facility management contracts and amendments. Prepares summary of facility management contracts for executive committee. Serves as the primary legal department liaison to the Partnership Development team. Participates in negotiations and strategy team meetings as liaison to Partnership Development team. Reviews and advises on government procurement instruments. Ensures that all contracts are approved internally prior to execution in accordance with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policy. Provides legal advice to Facility Support Center and facility staff as needed regarding all contract and procurement issues. Provides advice on statutory and other legal requirements regarding procurement and contract issues. Maintains professional contact through national, state and local bar association activities and other professional associations involved in corrections and procurement. Maintains professional competency through continuing legal education and educational seminars relative to corrections and procurement. Domestic U.S. travel may be required. Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Juris Doctor degree and authorization to practice law in Tennessee. Must have contract or other transactional experience. Strong analytical and negotiating skills as well as verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work in a team environment at a fast pace, multitask and prioritize. Knowledge of government procurements desirable, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. A valid driver's license is required.
