Compliance Field Technician

Crompco is currently searching for a highly motivated person interested in being taught a trade in the UST compliance testing industry.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of on-site functionality testing and inspections of mainly retail fuel facilities. And will provide timely written results of these inspections and functionality tests for both the owner/operator and appropriate state agencies.

Related experience is not required but competent communication skills, both electronic and verbal, a strong work ethic and collaborative attitude are a prerequisite along with a mechanical aptitude.

Duties:

Prepping the site for testing.

Setting up testing and safety equipment.

Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access.

Willing to work overtime.

Available to travel overnight when needed.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.

The job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing.

Driving a company service vehicle.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Background along with a history of working with hand tools a plus.

Need clean driving record and be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.

DOT physical required every 2 years; Random drug screening every quarter.

Motor vehicle checks annually.
