Income Withholding Unit Paralegal

The candidate will provide a central processing point for income withholding orders (IWOs) generated by the State, review IWOs before sending out for accuracy and notice of income withholding to NCP. Promote the most efficient and effective processing of income withholding orders and employer information. Review of Daily Batch Income Withholding Orders: Review the daily batch employer notices. Mail and fax appropriate IWOs and notices; generate new notices where appropriate; make appropriate case documentation. Review cases for possible submission of the National Medical Support Notice (NMSN) to Employers for cases where NCP is ordered to provide medical insurance. Send out NMSNs to employers where appropriate and answer employer questions concerning NMSNs. Work IWU emails. Work employer mail responses. Update information in ISETS on participants and employers as needed. Work reports as needed. Ensure that all work is completed in strict compliance with all applicable federal and state regulatory rules, laws, and guidelines, including IRS Publication 1075. Maintain a highly professional attitude and appearance. Must be a positive team player and work well with others. Additional duties as Assigned. Must have a High school diploma and/or equivalent. Paralegal certificate or a college degree is preferred. Must possess excellent communication and mathematical skills
