Summary:Maintains, analyzes, provide graphics, spreadsheets, and prepares reports from operational databases in Damage Prevention, Dispatching, or Resource Planning department(s). Performs administrative duties, general troubleshooting, testing and training within the databases. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains administrative duties within databases
Analyzes data looking for trends in failure analysis
Provides metric reports
Prepares graphics for reports and presentations
Manages business intelligence software
Updates users on changes in database software
Provides training for new database users
Provides analytical reports that assist the department in identification of trends.
Calculates and processes numerical data for use in departmental forecasts
Provides both current and historical data upon request in a timely manner
Education: A bachelor\u2019s degree in a business or technical discipline from an accredited college or university or eight (8) years work experience. Every two years of experience equivalent to one year of education. Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in information retrieval, database interpretation, and spreadsheet analysis related to a service business. Production planning, scheduling and forecasting experience in a service industry environment a plus. Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities & Personal Characteristics (KSLAPs):
Able to use mathematics and statistics to analyze data.
Able to use computer software to create, edit spreadsheets, electronic presentations, perform word processing, communicate and manage technical data on the LAN or personal computer.
Able to develop complete and accurate work products under tight time frames.
Able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision, take the initiative to get work done in the absence of superiors.
Able to maintain cordial working relationships with coworkers as well as customers.
Able to perform work in a cost effective manner.
Able to use and maintains technical knowledge and shares that knowledge with others.
Able to seek and understand the client\u2019s needs and focuses on meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Able to anticipate and accept changes in the organization and adapts to meet the new requirements.
Able to accept accountability for own decisions, performance, and behavior.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Able to provide and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Able to communicate orally in a clear manner
Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone
Able to view a personal computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time
Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets
Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner and calculator
Able to reach, grasp and move items
Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Able to operate a motor vehicle, including ability to enter and exit the vehicle unassisted, and travel long distances
Working Conditions:
Able to work in fast-paced environment with a high volume of workload and frequent, short deadlines including working nights, holidays and/or weekends to meet established deadlines and to support emergency situations.
Able to work indoors in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
Able to travel for various functions, meetings and other company related commitments and stay overnight as required.
Able to be \u201con call\u201d and respond accordingly in the event of emergency situations.
May be required to remain in the service area during emergency events and assume responsibilities assigned by the company to aide in restoration efforts.
