Litigation Attorney

A respected mid-size law firm in Encino, CA, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 3-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in defending professionals in liability claims and handling employment and commercial litigation cases. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with a focus on achieving clients' objectives efficiently and effectively. Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters, including professional liability, employment claims, and commercial litigation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Handle discovery, including drafting discovery requests and reviewing responses.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes pre-litigation where possible.
• Provide proactive litigation services when pre-litigation resolution is not feasible.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in defending professionals in liability claims and handling employment and commercial litigation cases.
• Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California (CA State Bar license required).
