Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of related experience.  Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. 

Position Description:

A team effort in this laboratory focuses on assessments of nervous system function and excitability in adults with spinal cord injury. The Neurophysiology and Neuroimaging Core takes a comprehensive look at segmental voluntary motor function, reflex responses, and spinal pathway electrophysiology. Candidates for this position should have a strong background in neurophysiology and experience conducting human research. The main responsibilities will be to conduct human spinal cord injury research and assist in the management of laboratory projects. This position requires substantial data processing and analysis and strong computer skills. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal and time management skills are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Coordinate and schedule workflow and personnel for research activities
•    Plan, implement, and evaluate research project components and procedures
•    Conduct various experimental procedures on research projects  
•    Research, prepare, and edit projects related to proposals, manuscripts, policies, grant progress  
•    Train and supervise research staff
•    Evaluate staffing needs and interview and hire new research staff
•    Perform staff annual reviews
•    Assure Neurophysiology & Neuroimaging Core has necessary supplies and equipment
•    Assure KSCIRC faculty needs are met by Neurophysiology & Neuroimaging Core staff
