Immigration / Family Law Legal Assistant II
The candidate will provide case management assistance to Society's Immigration and Family Law attorneys through the preparation of legal documents, preliminary research and conducting client intake and interviews and includes some secretarial duties. Will help create and maintain positive working relationships with organizations in the service area. Also conduct outreach events about Society's mission and services. High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have 2+ years of prior experience working in a law office, court, social service agency, or other relevant setting. Knowledge of immigration law is needed. Should have the ability to work in matters involving sensitive or traumatic circumstances. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in use of office equipment and technology is required.
