Associate Attorney
The candidate duties will include: Review and interpret laws, rulings, statutes, decisions and regulations to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting a civil lawsuit. Prepare and draft legal documents and court pleadings. Evaluate findings and develop legal strategies and arguments to support the firm's work product. Prepare and attend legal proceedings in state court and bankruptcy court. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa in both state and federal courts. Preferable to have at least 1 year of general civil court experience or comparable. Knowledge of Iowa title law and title standards is preferred. Must have proficiency with electronic documents and general computer literacy. Should possess sound decision-making and reasoning skills. Should be proficient in issue-spotting and legal analysis. Should possess good communication skills both as a speaker and as a listener.
