Job Description

National General Insurance, ************, is currently hiring for an IT Financial Analyst II to join our fast growing company here in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have served in a Financial Analyst capacity within an IT department in the past. This person will have also managed telecommunications/IT vendors handling (billing, contracts/SLAs, audit, etc.). This is a HOT position within our company and we are ready to hire immediately. Primary Purpose:

Work closely with internal teams, technology partners, and vendors for IT contract management, invoice processing, and workflow management as it relates to telecom expenses and IT invoice approvals across the enterprise. This position will analyze invoices, telecom moves, adds, and changes to ensure circuit terminations, credits, and charges are applied in a timely manner. Analyze budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls. Participate in equipment and services acquisition process from external vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of capital and operational IT budgets

Prepare, review, and distribute monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure control and provide spend forecast

Coordinate with IT Project Management to maintain accurate tracking of project capital, operating and resource expenses

Creating Purchase Orders (POs) for hardware, software, or services while maintaining appropriate records and forecasting capability

Continuously review current processes and propose new ways to improve efficiency and decrease spends

Review operating and capital budgets to analyze monthly/yearly trends to provide recommendations for improvement and cost savings

Coordinate and manage contracts signed by the IT Department, ensuring timely processing and filing

Serve as point of contact for vendor management, project closeouts, and billing inquiries

Manage and report on Service Level Agreement compliance for telecom vendors to ensure proper crediting

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities

Place and track orders for commission/decommission of voice and data circuits, verifying billing through invoice changes

Place orders for implementation and decommission of local and toll-free phone numbers while maintaining internal DID and TFN documentation

Report on utilization of voice and data circuits as well as phone number CDR usage

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or IT related discipline or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience

3 years of experience in various financial roles with strong analytical capabilities

Direct experience with telephony vendor management, invoice reconciliation, and order placement

Must be self-directed with good initiative, strong work ethic, and excellent follow-up skills

Must have ability to analyze and make key decisions relating to business process flows for IT Finance telecom expense management and IT invoicing workflow.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel /PowerPoint)

Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

Must be able to understand and apply good judgment, discretion, and tact while maintaining confidentiality on sensitive subjects

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization as well as external vendors

Desired Skills:

Previous experience within the Financial Services industry in accounts payable or finance

Previous experience with contract management and Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platforms

Project management and IT experience

Basic technical networking and or voice related knowledge
