Regulatory and Legislative Consultant
The candidate will conduct and analyze legislative, regulatory and legal research, identifies issues and provide legal analysis and strategic advice. Conduct initial attorney review and assessment, prepares summaries, and reviews/revises advocacy materials. Develop and refine messages through direct contacts, local counsel, trade associations, coalitions, grass roots, and others. Educate/brief/report on status of legislative/regulatory developments to clients, employees, and external consultants. Undertake interviews of information custodians and/or fact witnesses. Ensure compliance with election law/contribution laws. Review client document production in response to examiner request. Review notices of exams and evaluate scope. Help provide legal advice and counsel to business clients on compliance related questions. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Should have JD and license within State of Practice. Law degree is preferred. Should have 3+ years of related experience.
