Summer Associate Program

The summer associates attend client meetings, hearings, trials, depositions and negotiations. Summer associates work in various practice areas during the summer. Rather than structure work assignments via a rotation system through every practice group, summer associates are assigned projects based on their indicated areas of interest. We reassess interests and priorities throughout the summer as each student’s interests evolve. Most assignments enable summer associates to work directly with partners, counsel and associates, providing a realistic view of what it is like to practice law at the firm. Projects include research and document drafting, as well as participation in transaction closings, client counseling and trial preparation. Will also be invited to attend court hearings and trials, conferences with clients, negotiations with other lawyers, depositions and other activities to give a glimpse of the day-to-day practice of law.
