Responsibilities

Description:

The Cloud Solutions Engineer 2 enables cloud to provide optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Cloud Solutions Engineer 2 work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Cloud Solutions Engineer 2 utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources.

Responsibilities

Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement and support analytics solutions that provide insights to make better decisions.

Work with Enterprise Architects to design cloud on-demand environments with optimal performance that that meet operational and security needs.

Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently.

Develop and Lead a team of Data Engineers in collaboration with Business Teams and Machine Learning Engineers to test and scale cutting edge data driven solutions.

Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services.

Be a part of a DevOps team that completely owns and supports their product.

Ensure team delivers on time by defining clear application of architectural strategies and principles,

maintaining Agile for execution, and actively secure its implementation through the scrum process.

Leads development of coding standards, best practices and privacy and security guidelines.

Mentors others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
2-3 years software solution development using agile, DevOps, operating in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
2-3 years data analytics experience using SQL, Hadoop, pyspark and python.
2-3 years of Microsoft Azure cloud development and data lake experience including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data bricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics.
2-3 years of experience with Cloud or OnPrem Big data operations.
Experience working in an agile work environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
Experience with Hadoop operations.
Experience in implementing batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
