The Commercial Litigation Group is seeking an associate, preferably with 3-7 years of legal experience with complex commercial litigation, to join us in our Boston office.

Candidates must have significant hands-on trial experience at the state, federal, and appellate levels. Experience handling a case from inception through trial as a first or second chair is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated history of working independently and meticulously to ensure the quality of work product. All applicants must be admitted to the Massachusetts bar and be in good standing.

Job duties and requirements

Associates will be expected to work on a variety of matters related to commercial litigation. Associates in this role will assist our team in the following:

Representing clients in commercial litigation matters in state, federal, and appellate actions.

Drafting complaints, answers, motions, and other pleadings.

Taking and defending depositions.

Significant experience working directly with clients and opposing counsel.

Participating in the development of strategy for litigation including discovery, and assisting with preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings.

Distilling research into meaningful and persuasive written work product.

Demonstrating confidence serving as a representative of the firm while meeting and conferring with clients and opposing counsel.

Candidates must be admitted to the Massachusetts bar and be in good standing. Additional bar licenses are a plus but are not required.
