Duties: Assist in litigated matters and tracks timelines. Assist in document production regarding construction defect matters and all litigated matters. Review and assist with transactions and property acquisitions. Track key dates in contracts to insure contract performance. Type and modify legal documents utilizing legal terminology and procedures. Assist with the tracking and procurement of insurance policies and procedures. Assist with the tracking of legal and warranty spend as applied to insurance policies and SIRs. Facilitate copying, faxing, and mailing/shipping of documentation. Filing and file management. Advanced knowledge of contract law and its application in land development and homebuilding is required. Provide leadership for the contracts administration, compliance and database functions. Organize and maintain electronic track of all contracts and related documents. Lead contract to close-out efforts. Keep abreast of changes in the areas of law regarding contracts, land development and Home building. Review and process outside legal bills in compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation, review and administration of contracts including confidentiality agreements. Compile information necessary for the company’s insurance and renewal application process. Update and maintain the litigation summary. Update Company’s officer slate, as appropriate, including adding new officers and the deletion of termed officers. Update and distribute Company’s signature authority annually or when changes to signature authority have been made. Assist in due diligence of all transactional matters. Interact effectively with executive management of the company. HR and Risk related duties. Point of contact on all Worker’s Compensation issues form plan management, audit activity, and handling workplace injuries. Tracking of employee relations (action items with the potential of litigation) to ensure timely and proper follow up. (4 – 5 issues a year). Contract Administration and tracking of all sales agreements and addendums. Coordination of workers compensation and other benefit plan renewals (annually). All safety and osha compliance. Audit required location posting to ensure that each community and office are compliance (2 time a year) Lauren does this now. Back up to FMLA requests (back up to Julie). Back up to Benefits Management and problem resolution. HR audit coordination and tracking.
