TencerSherman, a boutique employment and civil litigation law firm, is seeking a full-time employment litigation associate to join its team. The candidate hired will focus on representing employers in employment litigation. Those cases involve defending employers in individual, class action, and PAGA actions alleging wage and hour violations, as well as defending allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. In addition to handling labor and employment law matters, the firm has a strong focus in defending public school in employment as well as sexual abuse and personal injury cases. The firm also has a significant employment law advice practice, which the associate will support. This work involves drafting employee handbooks as well as advising employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
The candidate hired must enjoy working on all aspects of litigation. The role involves handling all aspects of trial from responding to the complaint to taking cases to trial. The associate should be prepared to respond to complaints, draft discovery, draft dispositive motions, take depositions, prepare cases for trial, and conduct direct/cross-examinations at trial.
Compensation is based on experience. The firm offers a comprehensive benefit package including a 401(k) with a 4% match, health, vision, and dental.
